Have you ever thought about what would make a gym or gym setting perfect? Take a moment and think about what would make you fired up to finally commit to a gym and make health, not only a priority, but THE PRIORITY.
Let’s conduct the thought experiment.
First, the gym should deliver on its promise for results. Right? That is what we all want, we want to look and feel great. But dig down another layer, can a gym (a collection of machines, floor space and trainers) actually do that? Honestly and sadly, no. So if the gym can’t create results then what should the gym, as a whole, do?
It should create an environment and opportunity for you to get the results you want. So what does that look like? Knowledgeable trainers who care. So the gym has to have a solid understanding of what works and doesn’t work. What if that gym trained you in a way that was specifically designed for the way your body moves each day? Starting with basic fundamentals that meet you where you are at and builds you safely over time? Most gyms are in the business of being cheap (Big Box gyms) and offering no guidance or in the business of rinse and repeat, they make you sweat but never progres you or teach you anything.
At LiftBridge CrossFit you will learn about how your body was intended to move through our one-on-one on-boarding program. We will review your movement, coach you up on any bad habits and discuss how to progress over time. This continues with each class you attend.

Second, it should be affordable. Everyone thinks that CrossFit is just too expensive. If we are judging a book by its cover I’d agree. But, again, let’s dive deeper. So many gyms are businesses first and gyms second. It’s not that they are corrupt, it’s their structure. Trainers need to make money so they need to sell. Turns out your $25 membership is a complete waste of money because you don’t know what you are doing and to hire a trainer it’s $70 / hour. So $25 turns into $140 / week for two hours of training. That’s pretty expensive if you want meaningful results.
So how far does your dollar go at LiftBridge CrossFit? Each class becomes a personal training session, we begin with a clean description and demonstration of each movement you will do. We move into a specific warm-up and additional movement instruction specific to you and then a group workout where the coach monitors the group and keeps you motivated. Because we have over a decade of coaching our workouts are perfectly balanced to give you the results you are looking for.

Next, it should be efficient. Our lives are way too busy to spend all our time at the gym. Work is demanding, we need to maximize time with our families and we still need time for fun. At LiftBridge CrossFit are classes are 1 hour in length. In 60 minutes, just a few times a week we will completely transform you. 100% of the people who just show up change, it’s inevitable. Yeah the beginning is scary because you know you are going to have to try hard, but when you break through that ceiling it’s amazing on the other side.
Big Box gyms are a huge waste of time. You wander around aimlessly for about 2 hours and feel like “that’s good enough.” Realizing after a few months nothing has changed and now you just go, “to go.” I’ll give it to the HIIT gyms, they have copied the CrossFit model and get you in and out in 60 or so minutes.

Big Box Gyms (Anytime Fitness, Planet Fitness, etc) = 0
HIIT Gyms (Orange Theory / BaseCamp, etc) = 1
Last, it should be fun! Fitness is not some mandatory punishment we all need to do as we get older. It should be a place of community and happiness. This is where LiftBridge CrossFit really shines. We are, and always will be, a small community gym. We don’t want 200 members, we want 100 people we feel truly close to and care about. We want real relationships, not just dollars. Our owners are coaches and our coaches are going to do the workouts with you. We truly are in it together and we truly want you to succeed.
Big Box gyms want you to come in and not talk to anyone or just not come in at all and keep paying. HIIT gyms get closer but it’s far more likely you come in, workout and go home, never really connecting to anyone…probably not even making eye contact.
LiftBridge CrossFit = 4
Big Box Gyms (Anytime Fitness, Planet Fitness, etc) = 0
HIIT Gyms (Orange Theory / BaseCamp, etc) = 1.5
So….when you do the simple math of: Time invested + Dollars invested = Best Results LiftBridge CrossFit might be as close to the perfect gym as there is. But I’m obviously biased.
